15-20 years ago or so, at the Greenfield Guiding Star Grange dances that David Kaynor called, copies of this pamphlet were usually to be found on the lip of the stage just in front of the band, where it might be seen and read by passers by. I never noticed the attribution line at the end and figured that David had written it since it certainly fits with the style of his dance flyers. I'm glad to see it again and know it's source. As the awareness it teaches something that it still much needed, I may print some out and carry them with me to distribute here and there... On the topic of addresses various issues within a community, Lisa Greenleaf has called at least a couple of so-called (and advertised as) "Stylish" dances at Greenfield on Sunday afternoons. Many of these issues were addressed in the course of a little extra teaching with each walkthrough on how to make it more 'stylish' - the concept of 'stylish' also encompassing the concepts of being thoughtful, aware, courteous, elegant and safe.
